Sunsoft's Batman borrows the film's confrontation with the Joker, then builds its own route through chemical works, sewers, laboratories, and a forbidding cathedral. A short punch handles nearby enemies, while three projectile weapons spend collected ammunition to provide different reach and coverage.
Wall jumps are central to traversal, turning narrow shafts into climbing routes and letting Batman approach threats from above. The small character and dense industrial scenery give every platform a strong sense of scale. Progress depends on controlling your landing and recognizing enemy timing, especially when machinery limits your room to move. Gotham feels less like an open city than a sequence of carefully defended spaces to understand.
