Cackletta steals Princess Peach's voice, sending Mario and Luigi beyond the Mushroom Kingdom into the neighboring Beanbean Kingdom. The adventure treats the brothers as a pair in both exploration and combat. Each has his own button, letting you coordinate jumps, dodge attacks, and perform increasingly elaborate cooperative moves.
Battles use familiar RPG choices but keep your hands involved through carefully timed inputs. Outside combat, learned techniques make the brothers useful tools for crossing gaps and solving physical puzzles. The world is packed with visual comedy and peculiar residents, giving its mechanical demands a friendly rhythm of practice, surprise, and very expressive reactions.
