MUSHA sends a pilot in humanoid flying armor against a runaway military intelligence, mixing industrial science fiction with machines that evoke traditional Japanese imagery. The vertical stages keep the basic shot active while special weapons add distinct kinds of coverage.

Collected pickups develop your firepower and support companion units whose formations can be changed to fit the situation. Holding them near provides one kind of protection; assigning a more aggressive pattern creates another way to meet enemies arriving from different directions. A special weapon can also absorb a hit at the cost of being lost. The dense mechanical scenery and forceful music make the action feel urgent, but controlled positioning remains more useful than dramatic sweeping dodges.
