Simon's march toward Dracula passes through courtyards, caverns, libraries, and clockwork spaces that seem eager to demonstrate their own danger. The whip is unusually versatile here: it reaches in several directions, can hang loosely for close defense, and grips special rings to swing across gaps.
That control invites a more measured approach to threats above or below a platform. Subweapons remain useful, but many encounters can be understood through careful positioning and the right whip angle. The castle itself supplies memorable hazards through moving scenery and shifting geometry. Its atmosphere has room to breathe between demanding stretches, letting music, dripping water, and distant machinery become part of the adventure.
