Robotnik's latest plans send Sonic and his new companion Tails across chemical plants, glittering cities, and machinery built on an extravagant scale. The Spin Dash lets Sonic build momentum from a standstill, making steep slopes and quick starts easier to approach.
Stages offer room to run, but alternate routes and environmental hazards still reward learning the terrain rather than holding one direction. Rings remain both protection and a reason to explore, while checkpoint-based Special Stages create an optional pursuit of the Chaos Emeralds. A second player can join as Tails, adding playful companionship to the main journey. The result is a faster, broader adventure with a wonderfully confident sense of motion.
