Super C keeps the immediate danger of Contra and reshuffles the terrain beneath it. Commandos sprint through military installations and alien strongholds, collecting familiar weapon upgrades while shooting in multiple directions. Side-view stages favor clear jumps and quick decisions about advancing or holding ground.
Overhead sections replace that rhythm with movement across open ground, where attacks can approach from unfamiliar angles and safe positioning matters differently. The changing viewpoints keep the campaign from settling into a single routine. Large bosses turn a crowded screen into a recognizable set of attack patterns, and survival often begins when you stop watching your own shots and start reading what is coming back.
