A stolen infant Metroid draws Samus back to Zebes, now a world of rain, abandoned machinery, and living tunnels. The map grows as you explore, but many passages remain out of reach until new equipment reshapes your options. Missiles, bombs, speed, and movement abilities do more than open marked doors; they teach you to read the planet differently.
Combat alternates between uneasy encounters in corridors and bosses large enough to dominate the screen. Quiet stretches matter just as much, giving returning footsteps and distant sounds room to work. The journey feels continuous because regions loop back into one another, turning exploration into an increasingly confident relationship with a hostile place.
