Captain Syrup's pirates invade Wario's castle and take his treasure, supplying all the motivation he needs for another pursuit. This time ordinary enemy damage does not end a life. A flattened body, an inflated shape, or an alarming burst of fire becomes something to understand rather than immediately avoid.
